After 35 years as an administrator and teacher in the California secondary school system, I came to my senses, retired, and moved to the great state of Tennessee.
I had visited Tennessee many times as my children and I traveled around the United States each summer.
With both of my children grown, and gone from home, I had the freedom to relocate anywhere I wanted. After a thorough search, I found a home I wanted in Hendersonville. After meeting Bryan, I chose The Clausen Group to assist me in the purchase. I met Matt and the rest of the staff, made an offer on the house, and went back to California.
Being single, and in California, presented many logistical problems. First, the paperwork, home inspection, etc. The Clausen Group handled all that through fax, phone, and email. I was well informed at each stage of the process.
When the house was purchased and I could occupy it, several things happened to confirm that I had picked the right people for help. I spoke earlier about the logistical problems. The second problem was being single, who was going to help me unload my furniture when the company I hired to help didn't show up? Matt and Bryan showed up the morning after I had arrived and helped me with the heavy items. Thirdly, when I had to fly back to California to get another vehicle, Matt insisted on taking me to the airport as I had no other way to get there.
I could go on telling you other thoughtful ways The Clausen Group helped my transition, (such as making sure that the heat and electricity were on when I arrived on a cold, snowy Sunday afternoon) but it would just be another way of telling you that you can not go wrong with these people. They are the best, and people like this is the reason I moved 2,200 miles across the U.S. to live!
